With so many different services starting up because of the huge demand for users to rent and watch movies online, there are only a few that may be worth checking out. When viewing each service, some of the basic principles in choose one is the price, plans available, number of movies to choose from, delivery time, and an in depth review of each service. It appears that the most popular DVD rental services are reviewed such as NetFlix, Blockbuster, CinemaNow, and Intelliflix.
Nick Destefano has reviewed many of the popular DVD rental sites that you can learn what services are out there an which ones can be the best for you. Almost everyone has probably heard of at least NetFlix and Blockbuster which appears to be the two leading providers for DVD rental services online. However, NetFlix now offers the ability to watch movies online directly from your PC. There are over 5,000 to choose from, but after looking further at the review site, it appears that many of these movies are self independent film makers which means that you won’t find the new Hollywood movies here. Blockbuster’s advantage of NetFlix is that you can return a movie you rented online to an actual store and pick out a new movie right then and there without have to wait for another one in the mail according to Mr. Destefano.
Renting DVD’s online is becoming a popular option for users because of the convenience of not having to drive to the rental store and worry about late fees as well. You won’t ever have to pay for a movie being late as with all the services reviewed by Nick Destefano, you can keep them as long as you would like. The only disadvantage with these services is that you have to pay an ongoing monthly fee which may add up to more than what you would normally pay if you only rent a few movies here and there. However with the convenience of ordering online and getting them directly in the mail, it may be well worth paying the monthly fee if you are accustomed to renting say a movie every week.
One of the services reviewed, such as CinemaNow actually offers a different type of pricing where you can actually rent the movie you want online for a fee around $3.99 and don’t have to pay a monthly fee. You can probably rent the movie at your local store for around the same price, however, you are paying for the convenience of being able to view the movie directly from your PC. That leads to Nick’s next point as when you watch movies from your PC as with CinemaNow and NetFlix, you won’t get the same quality in regards to picture and sound when viewing them from your computer as opposed to your home theater using a DVD player.
As you can see there are advantages, and disadvantages when looking at different DVD rental services that you can either subscribe to on a monthly basis or pay as you go. It’s important to look at the options and cost of each plan and decide what fits your needs and lifestyle the best. Some of the services offer free trials so you are able to test drive them out without having to pay for it. You will want to make sure you do cancel though within your trial period as sometimes they will simply charge your credit card if your trial period has expired.
